Steak and Ale: Gorgeous food, nice atmosphere...
This restaurant is such a lovely place to go if you want to go somewhere quiet and romantic. It has a very traditional English feel to it (that's not why we went there though). I had the french onion soup and sirloin steak and it was gorgeous. There is a salad bar there aswell. The waiter was really polite. It was romantic because the whole restaurant is made up of small "rooms" and each room has about 4/5 tables in it so it is quite intimate. There are dim lights with candles at on the tables. I would definitely go there again.
Favorite Dish: My favourite dish was the french onion soup because it was hot, obviously freshly cooked and the flavour was all there. The chesse on top was melted to perfection!
i did really enjoy the steak aswell though. It was tender, cooked just the way I like it and the presentation was superb.
Steak and Ale: Downtown
This is another place within walking distance of the hotel. I think I remember coming here and having a good meal. Their website has no prices on it though and I no longer have or can't find the receipts right at the moment.
