I was there with my job mates, first to see Atlanta from a high point. then, again to see Atlanta from a high point. Well, a complete turn-around takes about one hour and you can either go to the restaurant or to the caffeteria/bar above (we've been to the cafeteria).
The mininum amount you have to spend is 8 USD, but with a pie and a caffee that's the eight bucks.

See the tall building in the photo? It is the Westin Peachtree Hotel and at the top of it (72nd floor) is a really nice restaurant that revolves. It makes one revolution in about an hour and gives you a bird's eye view of Atlanta. It is reached by way of a glass elevator which is on the outside of the building for about the last 60 floors. If you don't want to eat there is a free observation area one floor below the restaurant and a bar one floor above. The observation area has some interesting info about Atlanta and both floors give you some indication of what you are seeing in the distance. It is really worth a trip up here.
Favorite Dish:
The meals are really quite good. I have only eaten lunch here but they are reasonably priced (around $10 for an entree). They even have a children's menu which my grandchildren enjoy. They have a cobb salad which is really good. And, very importantly, they have good coffee.
Located on the top ( 47 ) floor of the Peachtree Plaza Hotel. This restaurant rotates 360 degrees , so you can see all of the Atlanta area.
Very scarry when you go up in the glass elevator on the outside of the building.
This is the tallest hotel in the world.
One of Atlanta's most delightful dining experiences, this rotating restaurant and bar revolves 360 degrees once every hour, offering spectacular panoramic views of the city of Atlanta. A two-minute ride to the top of the hotel in the scenic glass elevators, the Sun Dial View offers some of the best sightseeing available in Atlanta. You have access to four complimentary telescopes to view greater distances of the city, and can also enjoy the history wall. There is also a revolving bar on the next floor.

Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar and View
Favorite Dish:
Sun Dial offers something for everyone.
Restaurant one Atlanta's most deligful dining experiences, this open three-story revolving restaurant.
Revolves 360 degrees one every hour, offering quest a full view of Atlanta.
This place is a bit expensive. It is extremely romantic(at night), perfect for dates. But its lounge is so-so, compare to Westins in LA or Phenix.
Favorite Dish:
Meal: Veal Chop or Salmon are awsome!!! Mixed drinks: Peachmango is good, pina colada is so-so.
Appetizers $15-$25; Meal's price ranges from $25-$50; Drinks $12-$25
I had the chance to attend a cocktail party at the Sun Dial revolving restaurant located on top of the Westin Hotel. It is a nice place to have dinner with great views of the city.
