Grab a hotdog and a coke and settle in to watch the home team, the Atlanta Braves continue their streak of winning all the way to the playoffs then losing horribly! The best way is to watch a game live, watching on t.v. is for no comparison.
If you are visiting Atlanta and the Braves are playing at home, grab a couple of tickets and check them out! No matter how good the Braves are playing, there are almost always good seats available.
If you want, get teh standing room only tickets and walk around the stadium. It's chock full of Braves History. There are a lot of Kids activities as well.
Turner Field was built for the Olympics and was the site of the 1996 Opening ceremony. The Stadium was reduced to about half it's original size to accomodate the Braves. There are occasional concerts there as well.
The Braves are one of Major League Baseball's best and most consistent teams and Turner Field is a great baseball stadium. Catch a game in the "Chop Shop" and learn about the history of this great baseball franchise. Baseball's all-time home-run king, Henry Aaron was a Brave!
But, they'll never get over losing to my beloved Minnesota Twins in the 1991 World Series, one of the greatest Fall classics ever. Go Twins!!
for me, if atlanta has anything good to offer its the atlanta braves. GO BRAVES! i winning season for the last 11 years straight, u can bet on having a good time at any atlanta braves game...getting tickets are easy, i go through a reliable scalper named ted who never misses a game. just go to the corner of capitol st. and fulton ave, 1 block north of turner field. look for a heavy set black man wearing a ball cap, he ussually stand right infront of the entrance of the hotel on the corner (holiday inn, the name may have changed) tell him what your price range is and what section u are looking for, hes got everything. i have sent dozens of people through hima nd never once got a complaint. if u dont want to go through a scalper, just go to the ticket office on the north side of the stadium on hank aaron drive. tickets start at 5 dollars in the nose bleeds, and 45 dollars to 80 dollars field level. 18 dollars on the upper lever are decent if u are not looking to spend much. or u can do what i do sometimes and just get the dollar seats and move up to a better seat after the 3rd inning.
If you are in town during baseball season, catch a Braves game. Nice open stadium with relatively inexpensive tickets, which is more than I can say for the beers.
Of course if you're in or around Atlanta and have any interest in sport you have to take in a Braves game. I loved it
