by akurime Grab a hotdog and a coke and settle in to watch the home team, the Atlanta Braves continue their streak of winning all the way to the playoffs then losing horribly! The best way is to watch a game live, watching on t.v. is for no comparison. Leave a Comment

View from the Lexus Level by MatthewMetcalfe If you are visiting Atlanta and the Braves are playing at home, grab a couple of tickets and check them out! No matter how good the Braves are playing, there are almost always good seats available. If you want, get teh standing room only tickets and walk around the stadium. It's chock full of Braves History. There are a lot of Kids activities as well. Turner Field was built for the Olympics and was the site of the 1996 Opening ceremony. The Stadium was reduced to about half it's original size to accomodate the Braves. There are occasional concerts there as well. Leave a Comment

turner field by doug48 pictured is turner field home to the atlanta braves major league baseball team. this modern stadium was upgraded for the 1996 atlanta summer olympic games. turner field has a huge jumbotron and is a very nice modern stadium. personally i like more traditional stadiums such as rigley field and fenway park but for fans of major league baseball this is a must see spot when in atlanta.

If you are in town during baseball season, catch a Braves game. Nice open stadium with relatively inexpensive tickets, which is more than I can say for the beers.

Rich Harden being tough... very tough... by jjinswmi, 4 more photos I grew up a mile or so from Wrigley Field in Chicago. I remember the Braves being in Milwaukee and having Hank Aaron, Eddie Mathews, Joe Torre. I even VAGUELY remember Warren Spahn. I had been to Milwaukee County Stadium quite a few times and I gotta be honest, I like the Milwaukee Park better. It was just old time baseball in a baseball park. Turner Field is nice as far as the new type of stadiums go, big Jumbotron in center field, great seats, great views, what more can you want? I don't know, I like the old parks better. No offense to anybody in Atlanta, just personal taste. I have a friend that I haven't seen in 20 years and we met him at his place and he had 3 tickets for us to see the Cubs play the Braves. We were 5 rows above the Brave dugout! Awesome. This is called being in a deep gratitude hole. The Cubs won 8 to nothing. Harden pitched. He threw the first one in there as a perfect strike about 100 mph and I turned to my friend and said, turn out the lights, they ain't going to get a run. And they didn't. The game had a pregame ceremony to honor their announcer, Skip Caray who had passed away a week earlier. It was pretty impressive with a bag pipe and 3 volley salute. Chip Caray was there with his family and was presented with a jersey by Braves management. It was a terrific evening. I appreciated the whole thing since the connection with the Cubs and Harry Caray is so huge.

Turner Field, Atlanta-check out the big scoreboard by spgood301, 4 more photos There's no better way to spend an Atlanta summer evening or weekends afternoon than at beautiful Turner Field for Atlanta Braves baseball. The Braves usually have a good team, and Turner Field is a very comfortable, modern ballpark. It was originally built for the 1996 Olympics. Everyone can have a ball at Turner Field. Along with enjoying the game, there are lots of kids activities. The ballpark cuisine isn't bad - my workmate had a pulled pork sandwich there - but the beer selection is minimal. So, grab a sandwich and a Bud or two and watch the Braves win. Though not as often as they used to. FYI, the Braves have had many great players through the years. Currently, their best players are Chipper Jones, Tom Glavine and John Smoltz, but the greatest Brave ever is former home run king Henry Aaron, one of baseball's immortals. Turner Field is just south of downtown Atlanta. You can reach it by car or by free shuttle from near Underground Atlanta and the Five Points MARTA stop. Leave a Comment

We got tickets to see the Braves vs Nationals at Turner Field while in town. We sat in the outfield behind the right foul pole, and seats were $23 each, a little expensive considering the obstructed view ... the foul pole eliminated my view of the batter's box. Leave a Comment
