Coke World was pretty much a waste of $6 in my opinion. All it has is lots of historical information on the company and its products and coca cola memorabilia. Parts of it reminded me of an antique store or something. There is one part set up as an old diner with an antique fountain machine where a guy dressed up in 50's clothing explains why ice was originally used in fountain drinks because the cola was not kept cold back then. He explains that today the colas in fountain machines are already chilled to most people's satisfaction and that we only use ice out of habit. My personal opinion on it is that the companies that have these fountain machines in their stores and restaurants want you to use ice because it saves them a lot of money. However, the Coca Cola company probably wishes that people would not use ice so that they would consume more of their drinks and increase sales. I already use very little if any ice because I don't like my drinks watered down and I like to get more for my money. I guess most people don't do this though.

The only worthwhile part of Coke World is the tasting area. You can sample pretty much all of their products that are sold in the U.S. in the first area. Then, the next area is the international area where you sample their drinks sold in other countries all over the world. I found that most of these weren't very good, some were just nasty! It is interesting though to see what all people drink around the world and if you are thirsty enough, you can earn back some of that wasted six bucks by drinking a lot.

Unfortunately, there is no other alternative. Take your money and buy a nice meal at a good restaurant where you can drink something other than coke products if you choose. Why Atlanta is suddenly trying to become a tourist town is beyond me. They should just stick with business because they don't have anything good to offer.

Not much to remember from this museum. A few floors filled with scarcely anything.... excluding the big shop filled w/ all sorts of completely useless stuff.

    The Vintage posters.

I was disappointed with the World of Coca-Cola. All of the memorbilia is old adverstising, which is kind of neat. There is a movie that everyone can watch in a theatre; Don't waste your time watching it. It was funny more than anything else. The activity that I was looking foward to the most was getting to sample Coke from all over the world. People were crowding all around the machines, so it was really hard to try what you wanted. The Coke fountains were also broken.

I would go on a weekday, when "hopefully" it won't be completely overcrowded, and you will get to sample all the Coke that you want.

Coke World. Here is a true tourist trap. Just outside of Underground Atlanta (a tourists trap in its own rite) you will find Coke World. This is one big advertisement for Coke. Nothing more, nothing less. Inside you will find the history of Coke and also every kind of souvineer you could ever want with the Coke logo on it. But your in Atlanta...you just gotta do it once.

  • If you're planning on visiting the World of Coca-Cola, please be aware that it has moved to a new location beside the Georgia Aquarium. The old location at Underground Atlanta is now closed. Check their website for details: http://www.woccatlanta.com/

  • Museum about the history of Coke. At the end you get to sample sodas from different parts of the world (like grapefruit soda, etc)

    Try all of the sodas

World of Coca-Cola: Are you people KIDDING ME?

  • The World of Coca-Cola is exactly what you could expect of a SODA MUSEUM! You people are obviously NOT FROM THE SOUTH. Coca-Cola has some deep history. My great grandfather worked for Coke back in the day & I have a VERY fond memory of all the Coke memorabilia in his house.

We HATE Pepsi down here! With a passion!

Listen, if you don't go into a restaurant, ask for Coke & they don't have it then get really disappointed & order a WATER as opposed to a pepsi then don't even bother. In fact I steer of local places I know don't server Coke products, no matter how good the food is.
Or if you're just close minded & don't care to learn about a regions history.. DON'T GO!

Go back up north & drink your pepsi!

I suppose it's one of those places you have to go the first time you visit a city. Ok I guess but I don't think I really learnt anything that I really wanted to know. Kids will like it and of course the dozens of different samples available. How much fizzy pop can you drink?

Take a kid so at least someone will have a good time.

Find a nice pub if you can

The World of Coke sucks. As much as I like the drink, paying the admission to go in and watch them endlessly pat themselves on the back gets old really quick. And the sample room is the worst. The floor is so sticky from the patrons spewing up such outrageous flavour concoctions as Watermelon Coke.
