    Rowing on the River

    Rowing on the River

Being located just below the fall line (the line of small waterfalls that ends the navigable part of the Savannah River), the wide and gentle flowing river has a long straight stretch perfect for rowing.

Often in the mornings and calm days, you can find all sorts of people rowing the river by downtown. There are individuals just doing it for exercise, university teams training for competitions, etc.

If you go down to the Riverwalk, there are many vantage points to see them from. Although none of us may have the privilege of watching from inside the beautiful homes situated right on the Carolina side of the river.

    The Blue Horse

    The Blue Horse

I know the meaning behind the (white) elephant in the room. But I would be happy if someone could point out the meaning or history behind the (blue) horse on the balcony... (located on 6th St)
