the bar-b-q barn is a very good georgia style bar-b-que reataurant in cairo. the bar-b-q barn offers pork, chicken, beef, and ribs. good georgia bar-b-q moderately priced. a great place for lunch or dinner when in cairo.
I was pretty hungry by the time I was driving through Cairo. When I saw the sign for this restaurant I had three thoughts. 1) Cool, I love seafood. 2) Is there a Cedar River near here? I grew up near a Cedar River (also called Cedar Creek) in Jacksonville, Florida. 3) There was a place near where I grew up called Cedar River Seafood. I pulled in. The decor inside had photos of people fishing, nautical items and some nice murals. The placemat had a drawing that mentioned Jacksonville. I later found out that this restaurant is owned by the son of the guy that owned the one in my hometown. The tradition of very tasty seafood continues!!
Favorite Dish: I had a Cajun Style Fish and Shrimp Plate. Very tasty; but the portions were a little small.
