the carroll county courthouse was built in 1928 in the italian renaissance revival style. the architect of the courthouse was william j. j. chase who designed several courthouses in the state of georgia.

pictured is a bar in the carrollton entertainment district. located near the courthouse is adamson square. adamson sqaure was named after judge william c. adamson and is lined with a number of restaurants, bars, and shops. a fun part of town to visit when in carrollton.

located next to the carroll county courthouse is the carroll county confederate civil war memorial. this memorial is a standing solder motif which is very common in the south.

irish bred pub & grill is a nice replica irish pub located on adamson square in downtown carrollton. good beer selection and american fare. a fun place to eat and drink downtown.

Favorite thing: Carrollton is a family-friendly little city...lots of things for kids to do, along with plenty of hotel accommodations, the University of Western Georgia, Southwire and a quaint downtown section that seems to be on the rise.
