The food was at best eatable; not terrible, but tasteless and mundane. Prices were $10-15 just for lunch items; a very high price for this location in our opinion. They had a mix of burgers, Mexican, Italian, and others. A normal sized beer was $4.50-ugh
Favorite Dish: None were really a favorite, but the flatbread pizza was one we tried. Tasteless and loaded with bread and little toppings.
The food was all fried, and unfortunately most was fried pretty far ahead of our order. It was warm to cool, and then fried food tastes greasy-right!!. I had the three catfish plate fro $14. Micky had two catfish for $12, but a small portion was served.
Favorite Dish: I think the possible best was the white fish, but it also fell apart in flakes and hard to eat, plus on the plate you did not get much of anything to satisfy the appetite for a hardy eater.
It was more than great. The taste was super and the portions huge. What else can you ask for? Well, beer is only $1.50 a can besides. Prices are also very reasonable to boot. A full slab of ribs is $15, and a mix of 1/2 ribs and 4 slices of smoked pork is $12. The sweet potato was at least one pound size
Favorite Dish: The ribs are some of the best ever tasted, and that includes Kansas City
Dinglewood's Pharmacy is a pharmacy of the old style. Inside they have a lunch counter just like in the "Old Days"
The Staff are Friendly and the place has character. Photos on the walls show the famous people who have eaten here. Ex-President Jimmy Carter has been here several times.
Favorite Dish: The Signature meal here is the "Scramble Dog". They take a plate and spread a hot-dog bun on it. Then they slice a red-skinned hotdog into coin shaped pieces over the bun. They add Pickles, Chili, Onions, Mustard, Ketchup or any combination and then top with Oyster Crackers.
It's a big pile of joy brought right to you. There's nothing healthy about it but it's a local tradition. When in Rome....
Country's BBQ in downtown Columbus is a converted Trailsway Bus Depot. The bus parked next to the building is actually part of the restaurant and you can have your meal served in it.
They serve a full menu but BBQ is their thing, very fast and friendly service and the prices are very good. It can get crowded at lunch time.
Favorite Dish: We got the daily special which was the Pig Tator, it's the largest baked potato that I've ever seen stuffed with BBQ pork and then covered with sour cream.
country's is a very good bar-be-cue restaurant in downtown columbus. great pork barbecue and southern dishes. country's is a local chain with nine locations in the columbus area. i would rate country's as one of the top ten barbecue restaurants in the state of georgia.
The manager went out of his way to make everyone feel at home. The employees made us feel welcome and appericated our business. They were feeding a group from a local Teen home. The employees and customers were having fun but what really hit me is when the manager thank these young soldiers for what they were doing for Our Country. They also give a 15% discount to all branches of the Armed Forces. This is a place where your business isn't taken for granted.
Favorite Dish: The best chicken fingers, sauce, coleslaw and toast. They have refined the art of cooking chicken.
Very special ambiance, colorful art, stages, live music, liquor and wine selection. Much talked-about and much visited (by women) Men's Room, a must see on its own.
Favorite Dish: Lamb Chops or Certified Angus Steaks
Miriam's House Salad
Good food, as I remember. We had a large group and the staff was accommodating. And don't forget to sit in the big chair!
Cool atmosphere. Not many like it!
Favorite Dish: Pig Pie - Pizza with all the pig toppings (bacon, ham, pepperoni, sausage) cooked in an open brick fire oven.
Brewpub offer hand crafted beer, wood fired pizzas, burgers, steaks, salads, and pastas.
