Famous for its naming hill (you can pay 5-10$ to put a pig shaped sign on the hill behind the restaurant--see pix) but it has has really good BBQ as well----meaty ribs, good chopped pork sandwiches, and good carrot cake, too made by the resident female baker, June.
Favorite Dish: Ribs, chopped pork
This ‘meat & three’ cafeteria style restaurant is a favorite of locals and tourist alike. Its very clean semi-rustic architecture is a comfortable place to enjoy the home cooking. The ladies are always very friendly and enjoy having you eat with them.
Favorite Dish: The menu varies everyday. They usually have 3 or 4 different meats, 5 to 9 vegetables, corn bread, roll or biscuit, and 3 or 4 deserts to choose from. Beverages are sweet or unsweet iced tea, water, and coffee.
Not as good as the other local place Poole's, but a little different in style, and they also have a good Grilled Rib-eye----tried the peanut butter pie and it was thick and delicious...
