    located near the visitor center in the stephen c. foster state park is the okefenokee museum. this small museum covers the history and wildlife of the okefenokee swamp.

    the stephen c. foster state park has a very nice marina next to the visitor center. here you can rent a fishing boat or canoe to explore the okefenokee swamp.

    the stephen c. foster state park is located 17 miles east of fargo at the eastern end of GA 177. this interesting state park is the western entrance to the okefenokee swamp. the park has cabins, campsites, boat and canoe rentals. the stephen c. foster is an excellent place to fresh water fish and to view wildlife.

    the swannee river cafe is the best restaurant in fargo. it is also the only restaurant in fargo. good american fare moderately priced. a nice place to have funch or diner when in fargo.
