"In Memory of the Confederate Heroes of Fayette County, 1861-1865, Erected by Fayette County Chapter U.D.C. [United Daughters of the Confederacy] 1934.
There's also a Jefferson Davis Drive in Fayette!
Visiting the square, with its quaint gift and antique shops. Also there is the old courthouse, which until a few years ago was the oldest courthouse in Georgia still in use.
Fondest memory: As a child, I spent many summer holidays with my Grandmother. She would take me and my sisters shopping with her and to visit her friends. Fayetteville has changed in 30 years from a small rural town to a very busy suburb of Atlanta, but it's still a charming place. Fayetteville is like my second hometown!
