The fried shrimp was excellent as was the breakfast of biscuits, bacon and eggs. I guess it is just a good place for tasty basic food. A nice family type restaurant where the waitresses are friendly, service is good and the prices are low. You can eat on the porch, but the no-seeums may be bad in some seasons. Inside there is a bar, and you can seat yourself where you can watch TV or not.

Brunswick Stew is my all time favorite here.
They also have a signature buffet (all you can eat) dish called Low Country Boil which includes shrimp, corn, potatoes and sausage for $14.95, but Bob feels like there's too little shrimp and I think there's too much sausage, so we don't get it.

They have sandwiches, snacks, entrees and desserts.
When we were here in November 2001, our bill was $39.66, but that included a big serving of Brunswick stew which we took back to the boat. I got it in case we had to eat on the boat at Thanksgiving.
When we visited at lunch in 2007, we each had a cup of Brunswick stew, Bob had a 1/4 lb. of steamed shrimp, and I had a BLT (pictured) and a Friazo (pictured). This place is tres casual and so good! Waitresses in t-shirts bring cold drinks to the back deck and then it's off to the buffet where the cooks offer up a traditional Low Country Boil - Shrimp, Sausage, Corn, Red Potatoes...if you don't see a lot of shrimp - just ask your servier - they'll bring more!
Don't like Low Country? It's OK - they have a menu if someone wants something else!

Lattitude 31 is by far THE BEST Restaurant on Jekyll Island, nothing else comes close, hands down!
If you are eating at the 'Rah Bar' on the deck outside, the Shrimp and Crab Legs are delectable!!!!! They also have live local entertainment during the Spring and Summer - it's great! Plus, you're out on the water, beautiful sunsets and you can look right at their own Shrimp Boats docked right there. Bennigan's is a chain, but it is convenient to the Days Inn. We wound up eating dinner for 2 nights here and honestly, enjoyed our meals.
Jekyll has a limited number of restuarants. We found Bennigan's to be "family-friendly" and with its fast service we were able to eat quickly and then continue exploring the island Leave a Comment

This place was awesome! We ate there 2 nights (one for Room-service @ the Clarion, one inside the restaurant!) Both times the steaks were PERFECT! Service was a bit slow - but worth the wait for a great steak!
My husband got the seafood buffet (Saturdays for dinner) - he loved the crab legs!

Overpriced, small portions, slooooow service, waaaay overpriced! Service was pathetic, and once they realized we were displeased, no effort was made to make us happy. The $100 meal should have been spent at the Jekyll Island Club!!! This restaurant is directly across from the Conference Center - you'd think their service and food would be good. Six thumbs WAY down!!!
Not a thing! All six of us agree. Not much better than eating at a Waffle House - and we love waffle house, but when one goes on vacation to a local seafood establishment, one expects more for their money!
