Open seven days with specialties that include fresh seafood, salads and succulent baby-back ribs, peel and eat shrimp, raw oysters, Alaskan King crab, clams, steaks, & juicy burgers. Casual atmosphere, friendly staff.

Favorite Dish: I had the barb. ribs 1/2 rack with pot. as side and home-made bread. Hubby ordered prime rib and b.pot. Excellent choices*

We stayed during the peak Holiday season during "The Magical Nights of Lights festivities at Lake Lanier Islands"....an on-going tradition there for 11 yrs we were told . Expect bumper-to-bumper traffic leading both on and off the islands ( one-way entrance bridge) during dusk (5-6 p.m. til 10:00) with busloads of tourists and local residents coming to "view" the traditional magical light show, apparently the most popular event of the season which makes for a very congested area full of traffic.
We soon scheduled our daily activities either before or after these peak times to avoid the traffic and it worked out well. The light show was truly well worth our trip however and we do plan to go back again*
The resorts do advertise a shuttle or tour service they provide as well for a fee if you choose not to drive your own vehicle.

We didn't know about this tradition during the holiday visit on Lake Lanier, but they hold the Magical Nights of Lights annually. So we were very lucky to visit during this time and see all the wonderful illuminated displays galore all aglow on each street corner. A local custom, but new to us, now we will go back each year to join in this beautiful tradition. A magical time to behold......a must see for all!!
