The Robert W. Woodruff Arts Center
Completed in 1968, the Robert W. Woodruff Arts Center was a gift to the city in memory of over 100 local art patrons who died in an airplane crash in Paris, virtually wiping out the base of sponsorship for the arts in Atlanta.
The Robert W. Woodruff Arts Center is one of the most outstanding centers for the visual and performing arts in the South. It is home to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Alliance Theatre Company, the Atlanta College of Art, the 14th Street Playhouse, and the High Museum of Art.

Hoedowns. Everyone in the world is made to feel welcome and special. No attitude rampant. Friendly crowd, fun country music, nice dance floor. Not a pick-up bar, although it has those possibilities. Line dances and 2-stepping have never had so much charm, and just to spice things up, DJ Jim will mix in some current popular music too. Who ever thought you could 2-step to the B-52's?
the crowd is so fun. Everyone is there just to have a fun time. If you don't want to mingle and chat with strangers, stay in the dorm room.
Dress Code: Anything wihtin the limits of the law goes. Cowboy, new-wave, casual, professional, sportswear, even renaissance and Highlander outfits. You never know.

My favorite bar is Flanigans in downtown athens (corner of clayton and jackson streets)
Plenty of alcohol and plenty of attractive people.
Dress Code: girls usually get dressed up in skirts or pants and a nice shirt while guys tend to wear jeans and baseball caps.
Coyotes: Fun in Augusta
Since i was alone on my trip, i was really looking for lively spots with friendly people. And even though the Taxi-operator with the sexy voice recommendet some other places, i decided to visit coyotes.
A very good choice indeed; there was a good mixture of people from young pool players to elderly ladies in cowboy hats. The live band played about everything you can hear on US 101 and for those of you who never experienced a line dance, many of the ladies turn out to be very good instructors.
Coyotes is definately an excellent place to just go and lose it!
Dress Code: No particular dress-codes; just don't wear sleveless shirts as a guy. They won't let you in.

THE UNDERGROUND IS A DEFINATE NIGHTLIFE SPOT. ALTHOUGH IT IS JUST AS POPULAR MID-DAY AS IT IS DURING THE NIGHT, THERE IS MUCH TO SEE AND DO IN THE AFTERHOUR PARTY SCENE.
WITH LOTS OF TASTY TREND RESTAURANTS AND FAMOUS ATTRACTIONS--SUCH AS THE COCA-COLA BUILDING, THE UNDERGROUND IS ONE OF GEORGIA'S MORE UNIQUE DESTINATIONS.
Dress Code: PEOPLE IN GEORGIA ARE PRETTY MUCH STYLE FREAKS FROM THE HAIR TO THE NAILS, AND THE LATEST HIP-HOP AND STREET GEAR, SO JUST ABOUT ANYTHING WILL BLEND RIGHT IN.
Atlanta has two 24 hour...
Atlanta has two 24 hour nightclubs, located within a few blocks of each other. Club Riviera and Backstreet.
Club Riveria is fun, but the later it gets, the seedier the crowd gets. The strippers and friends begin showing up at about 3AM.
Backstreet is a mostly gay fridays and fairly mixed on saturdays. Always packed and the music will keep you on the dance floor all night long. The times I have been there (usually with out of town guests) I have looked at my watch to find it is 9AM or later.
Dress Code: The less the better.
