    Picnic/Playground Area

by Basaic Updated Apr 16, 2014

There is a picnic area/playground on site, too. Good place to enjoy a picnic lunch (which is cheaper too) and to let the kids run, play and burn off some energy before getting back in the car.

Visitors are amazed at the breathtaking colors of Georgia's "Little Grand Canyon". But unlike the Grand Canyon these 150 foot deep gullies were caused by erosion due to poor farming practices in the 1800s. The multicolored hues of the canyon walls sometimes combine with colorful wildflowers to make a great view. Explore the nine canyons.

Obey all warning signs, they are there to protect the park and for your safety. The cliffs are fragile, if you go past the fences they may crumble under your feet and cause you to fall into the canyon.
