by steph4867 Swedish chef Peter Nilsson brings his international flair to the creation of Tapas, servings of appetizer size, complimented with a variety of beer and wine.
Anything on the menu is sure to please! Two of us ordered three dishes and a bottle of wine and our total bill was $35. And we were stuffed! Leave a Comment

The Six Pence Pub in Savannah by mikelisaanna The Six Pence Pub is a casual pub in Savannah's historic distict that we ducked into in the middle of a downpour. The menu is stereotypically English (bangers and mash, etc), with lots of beef and potato stuff. We enjoyed their sandwiches, desserts, and, especially, their beer. Strangely, the one item that was conspicuous in its absence was fish and chips. The waitresses were very friendly and, the beer list was great. We enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning. This is the local hangout and hot spot open into the wee hours of the morning and has all sort of good things to get - smoothies, coffees in many brews, home-made apple cider, various teas, frozen hot chocolate, and my favorite - BUBBLE TEA!!! If you are hungry there are snacks like cookies, chips, frozen pizzas they microwave, microwave popcorn, sandwiches, vegan stuff..... The atmoshpere is very friendly - and my first college roomate works there. The place is spacious, with a public computer, books magazines, art work displayed, sofas, dinning tables, coffe tables, board games, ect. It's great to get a coffee to go or to stay and chat and play a while.
My favorite thing is bubble tea - it's like my favorite thing in the entire world!! I thought it was indigenous to the NY china Town region haha and felt depressed going away to college where I feared I'd never taste it again. The shop owner brought the craze of bubble tea to savannah and this has become so contagious!! Bubble tea is a flavored non-dairy mix that goes with an ice tea and tapioca pearls as bubbles. It is also know as boba. The tapioca is a root that when boiled to a 'bubble' is black and has a soft chewy texture. It picks up the flavors of the drink you have. You drink bubble tea with a fat straw. There is a list of flavors. They go from house-hold fruits and tea spices to things you'd never think yourself drinking - avocado flavor bubble tea for example. (Which one day I felt daring enough to try. And I like avocados. Just not as drinks.....) Don't worry it's not a sweet drink but is not a bland drink beacuse of the flavor and the bubbles. My favorite flavors have been Blue Hawaii (a bit floral and kool-aidish) and Kiwi - which is ultra refreshing. I say the banana taste just like banana. Lychee is an asian fruit and is got a perfume taste - very distinct and aromatic but kind of sweet to me. Apple is like a sour apple. There is vanilla which to me is too milky but then again I don't like vanilla. The colors!! You can mix flavors. There are many to chose from and there are three types of thee it is made with - black, green, and thai. There are two ways you can have it - on ice or froze (like a smoothie). The people that work there are experts and will gladly help you make your mind up if you are really indecisive!! by amihan The menu was pretty impressive. I can't seem to get the crab bisque off my mind, however. I don't know that I have had a better version anywhere or anytime.

First of all, I have to say that they have a great staff in Savannah. We had diner with an friend. It was a long time ago when we saw him, so we had some catching up to do. The waitress was very patient, she did come back, I think it was three times, and every time we were to busy talking to eachother instead of making a choice of the menu. They are famous for their ribs, but besides ribs they also serve steak and chicken among a few other things. Pros: Great food, friendly, clean, reasonably priced.
Before the entree we had an appetizer. Roma's Triple Play Sampler. This is a trio of appetizers - Red Hot Buffalo Wings, Fried Mozzarella Sticks and Potato Skins matched with three dipping sauces to please a whole table. Price $8,99 I had the "40 Clove Roasted Garlic Chicken". Two tender boneless chicken breasts topped with roasted garlic, olive oil and parmesan cheese. Served with rice and vegetables. Price $11,99 I had a great meal, the chicken with the oil, garlic and cheese was very good. Others on my table had The Orginal Baby Back Ribs. The staff was very friendly.
