This quaint family owned restaurant is incredible. Great service and great atmosphere were only second to great food!
Favorite Dish: Grilled Seafood platter, but everything is good. Must try the greek salad. My wife got the Oyster Po boy with a country greek salad that was so fresh and delicious!
For anyone who has not had the treat of eating at Savannah Moon for breakfast or lunch you have truly missed a wonderful experience! Owned by Ben and Debra Golden this married couple has truly made a huge food impact on Thomasville. Debra's cakes, desserts and speciality items are not only good they are superb! Ben has a fantastic knack at making some of the best home made soups you have ever tasted. All their breads are home made along with your choice of different types of cookies, desserts that simply "wow" you as you taste them.
Eating breakfast is just as good as lunch! Their french toast is just very, very different from the "usual". Their omlets are all very different and you remember the taste and want some of the same when you come back. Breakfast in a bowl is a different kind of treat made with sausage on the bottom, mash potatoes on top (or grits) with cheese on top. Now that is truly delicious!
If you become a regular customer, their waitress Rene remembers what you like and never seems to forget. So for a great dining experience....please go visit Savannah Moon.
Favorite Dish: French toast; breakfast in a bowl; Lobster Bisque soup/clam chowder soup/any of the desserts or cookies are fantastic!
The Market Diner is located on the west end of Thomasville's farmers market. Though in recent years the price has steadily creeped upwards and the amount of food has lessened just a bit, it is definitely not to be missed!
The restaurant specializes in country southern food with large buffets that include everything from incredible crispy friend chicken, sweet potatoes, thick maccoronic and cheese, all sorts of greens, and lots of pies for dessert. It has a very laid back atmosphere where people enjoy family meals together after Church.
The vegetables are from the farmers market that is located behind the restaurant and you can really taste the quality. On friday and saturday nights, there is a seafood buffet which replaces some of the regular items.
The price, I believe, is just over ten dollars now for the buffets, but it varies so you might want to call. Im not sure if reservations are allowed, but I do know that this place can be very packed on the weekends.
Favorite Dish: I am not even sure you can order anything but the buffet. On it, I always go with at least one piece of fried chicken and some maccoroni, but everything is great. Just dont eat too much!
