Toccoa Travel Guide

tallulah gorge state park is located on US 441 about ten miles north of toccoa. this 1,000 foot gorge is one of the most spectacular canyons in the eastern united states. you have two hiking options at the park, the rim trail is a easy hike while the trail to the floor of the gorge is strenuous and requires a permit. the 1972 film "deliverence" was filmed on the chattooga river in tullulah gorge.

toccoa falls is located about a mile west of downtown on GA 17 on the campus of toccoa college. when you enter toccoa college go to the gatehouse and the guard will give you directions to the falls. admission to the falls is free. toccoa falls is 186 feet high and is one of the most visited attractions in toccoa.

the stephens county courthouse is located on alexander street in downtown toccoa. the courthouse was built in 1908 in the classical revival style. the stephens county courthouse is listed on the national register of historic places.

Toccoa Falls is on the campus of Toccoa Falls College. Easy walk to view this 186 foot waterfall drops in a peaceful thread. Nice place to take photos, have a picnic, enjoy the beauty of nature. I love waterfalls.
