    Nothing but lava for miles

Luggage and bags: A backpack would be good

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Expect changeable weather. Come prepared. Bring rain gear, sturdy shoes, hats, water bottles, & sun glasses.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Don't forget the sunscreen

Photo Equipment: Bring a large memory stick or several rolls of film.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Bring what ever you will need.

Miscellaneous: There are no snacks available once you leave the tourist center. Bring some food in case of a snack attach. Don't forget the water.

    General List

by triplehelix Updated Oct 12, 2006

Luggage and bags: A simple backpack will do and make sure to pack light.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Wear light clothing and strong hiking shoes. Make sure you feel very comfortable.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: It's good to pack along some bandages, hydrocortizone cream, anti-biotic ointment, and sunscreen. It's rare to run into weird bugs and if you do, none are poisonous here so don't worry about bug repelent.

Photo Equipment: Always a must for any VTer!

Miscellaneous: Always, ALWAYS!! Water is very important so pack lots.

Don't let the rain spoil your fun

Luggage and bags: Bring a backpack for your hike

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Comfortable covered shoes, a raincoat or umbrella would nice to have on hand ... though if you stay at KMC, they do have umbrellas in the rooms, and sell those cheap raincoats at the camp store.
