 | Kailua-Kona Nightlife | Tips 1 - 10 of 14 | | Captain Bean's Dinner (aka 'Booze') Cruise Spend two hours on a boat cruising the seas just offshore of Kona, eating traditional Hawaiian food and drinking as many Mai Tais as you can down while the band plays the theme song from 'Hawaii Five-Oh', for the all-inclusive price of about $50. The drinks are kind of weak, but a quiet word to your server will ensure additional rum is mixed in. The servers - such as the fabulous Keauhi in the photo - also double as the entertainment, with a certain amount of audience participation... be warned. Drink too much and you're liable to be pulled out of your seat onto the stage, and handed a pair of pom-poms. A decent night out, the only downside being it starts and finishes early - you're back on the pier by 7.30pm.
Whatever you like, although wearing shorts will make you look less stupid when they dress you up in a hula skirt Leave a Comment Theme: Live MusicDirections: Board the boat at Kailua pier. If you're staying in a resort hotel, a free bus service will pick you up and drop you off at the end of the night, sho

Huggo's had it all, a real good time to be had.... My friends (pictured) do a 'FANTASTIC' show every Friday night. This is a definite 'must see'! They (Hot Lava) are world class entertainers, and really get the place ROCKING... They also perform individually, most other nights. This place gets pretty crowded Friday nights, people passing by, cannot resist, they have to drop in... ;-) Very relaxed atmosphere, sit at the bar, or wonder around, dance, meet people, or whatever.....
Casual, or 'knock their socks off' wear..... Jeans, shorts, whatever!!! Leave a Comment Theme: Live MusicDirections: Alii Drive... right opposite the 'Hard Rock Cafe'Other Contact: Crave more nightlife after closi

The most happening night club on the Big Island people from other side of the island drive two hours to get there just to party:) Located on Ali'i Drive on the waterfront. Best times to get is later in the evening, its the only happening club in Kona. Its a casual dress code, and its open to watch sunset and get the cool ocean breeze.
Casual nightclub wear. Open air, Kona is pretty warm climate. Wear whatever feel hot it. Its Kona's hot spot where the locals and tourists mingle. Huggos... These guys were great entertainers... Once I became a 'Local' they would play 'Downunder' for me, as soon as I walked into the place... I thought that was a fantastic gesture... Leave a Comment Theme: Live Music

"On the Rocks" is the casual outdoor bar that is next to Huggo's - and it's part of the same business. Though they share a kitchen, it's more casual and youthful here - and the seating is less comfortable, too! You can get a burger and fries here, though you might have to be patient for your order to come. Service here is definitely "island"! Lu Lu's in Kona town is the local bar that has TV's playing Sports and pool tables. The lunchtime food was and the dress was completely casual, as most places are in paradise. Apparently through word of mouth from the locals, Lu Lu's is really your best shot at what little nightlife Kona has. I still closed the place down with some buddies and had fun.
