Dinner options were kind of limited - and it wasn't as well organized as it should been, but the sunset dinner cruise on the Fair Winds II was still one of the highlights of our family's week in Kona. It's hard to criticize too intensely once you are out on the ocean waters observing a magnificent Hawaiian sunset on a perfect summer's eve, Really, this is Hawaii, after all.
A Hawaiian sunset anywhere on the island is enchanting, but we particularly enjoyed the sunset aboard a champagne cruise on the Hokuhele catamaran. Piloting that evening was, yep, Captain Kirk. He brought us out to see unobstructed views and a comfortable sail.
Some of the most amazing sunset pictures we got throughout the whole trip was aboard this trip. Romantic...
Amazing sunsets. You might even catch the green strip if lucky :) This one was taken from the Bay Club at Waikoloa. Oh, and you might be extra lucky in the end if you find 'the one' while on holiday in such a romantic and beautiful setting as this *grin*
Finding love, falling in love again, revitalising romance... must have something to do with the setting :)
Watch the sunset
You'll see some of the most amazing sunsets you can imagine from the Big Island, especially when the clouds which invariably hang over Mauna Loa catch the last rays before the sun falls over the horizon. Don't miss it.
Everywhere on this planet you will find/see sunsets. On Hawaii they are incredible. Just go see these sunsets!! You will love them. :)
The colors are astonishing, the view goes on for miles. There are usually a dabble of clouds to add more canvas to the light show. Extraordinary.
