This bakery is a roadside attraction is a must-stop for anyone traveling around the island or heading to the nearby black sand beach, and it’s a worthwhile give a try. Its claim to fame is that it’s the southernmost bakery in the nation. Try Creamy Puff, and mango and coconut ice cream.

Aside from passing through to go to Volcano or back to Kona, there isn't much to do in this small town. Na'alehu has no real attractions but has some spectacular views. There are few small restaurants in the area if you're hungry.

The district of Ka'u can be very windy, hot, and dry which makes it a great spot for wind surfing or hang gliding.
