Seeing the lava flow in the daytime is awesome in itself, but no words can truly express the overwhelming excitement of seeing the glowing lava at night!

Long sleeve garment, good covered shoes, maybe a hat and/or windbreaker (rain, wind, and cooler temperatures) Bring a flashlight and water ... unless you want to just purchase it at the beginning of the hike.
