Hyatt Regency Kauai versus Princeville Hotel

Favorite thing: Funny thing is everyone (okay not E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E) but alot of travelers who are planning a trip to Kauai debate whether they should stay in the Southern part of Kauai at Hyatt Regency or Northern part of Kauai at Princeville. Its amazing how many people I have come across, who have been in this predicament! You can tell that I stayed/choose Hyatt but we did visit (I know everyone does that too-thanks to Fodors/Frommers.."..don't miss lunch at Princeville if you don't stay there.."). On the day we visited it was rainy, gray and very dark. Princeville was a beautiful Hotel and I'm sure it would have been a pleasant stay however, we much preferred the look and feel of Hyatt Regency. Just my two cents!

Favorite thing: Kaua'i is home to all kinds of exotic species. These are some shots of parrots that were residents at the Grand Hyatt
