Kapaa Craft Fair: Arts & Crafts
Kapaa Craft Fair, from what we could tell, is a permanent fixture in the town of Kapaa. It’s easy to spot on the side of the highway in the middle of town. There is ample parking available if you want to stop and check out the various craft stalls. Most of the stalls hawk kitschy touristy souvenirs and jewelry. It’s a place to buy all the “Hawaiian” crap you want to take home to your relatives as gifts. But don’t expect to find anything authentic or unique here. It’s all the same old stuff you’ll find in the gift shops, but probably cheaper. It is a nice diversion if you need a break from driving the island.
What to buy: Local crafts and souvenirs.
Kauai Pearls: Tahitian Pearls
This shop in the Coconut Marketplace has a fine selection of Tahitian pearls; earrings, rings, bracelets, pins, pendants.
What to pay: If there's a sale going on, you can purchase a black pearl pendant for as little as $99!
