Let's eat!

Musical excerpts from 3 Broadway shows, Les Miserables, South Pacific and Phantom of the Opera and full buffet dinner.

After each course (salad, dinner, dessert), songs of one of the 3 shows were sung. The singing group did a good job. THe buffet was also good.

The whole event lasted about 2 1/2-3 hours and cost $59/person.

It's something different to do for Kauai.

I don't know if there is a dress coad, but we didn't see anybody really scrubby looking. On the other hand, no one was in a coat and tie, either. Most were in dress casual, although a few people did wear shorts and Hawaiian shirts.

	Hawaiian Luau: Luau

You shouldn't miss out on a Luau while on Kauai. The Coconut Beach Resort has an excellent nightly Luau for $50, with excellent food, drinks, and entertainment. You will even learn to Hula.

There is SOME nightlife on Kauai. But, if night-life is something you look for on vacation then I would suggest you visit the other islands instead.

Most of us are in bed by 9:00pm. THAT is what I call "Night-life".... :-)

	Naupaka Lounge at the Radisson Hotel: Live music nightly

The Radisson Hotel's Naupaka Lounge hosts a cozy living room atmosphere with easy listening music done by a solo musician each night. One of the favorite's is Tim and his ukulele on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday nights. A local boy, he is truly an entertainer with Hawaii in his heart. He keeps even the children and teenagers entertained. His style is easy listening contemporary Hawaiian, and he does throw in a surprise or two every night.

Casual dress.

Directions: Going east about 5 minutes from the Airport. Watch for the flags on the right hand side of the "only" road in town.

Me & My Cigar

Well, since we were there on our honeymoon this wasn't such a problem!

We still looked for some fun evening events?! Well, we always dine late, not rushing the afternoon and taking our time to get ready for dinner enjoy the room etc. After dinner we passed by Stevenson Library for live jazz music/tropical hawaiian band etc or whatever they had going on and enjoy a nice cigar (yes both of us).

A tip: check with concierge once you arrive and schedule your dinner reservations. We left the property various times to enjoy dinner and a live show at other local hotels/restaurants.

Dinner, live music and nightcaps. That's probably as lively as you get here in Kauai.

Chic and very Comfortable

This is Me after the Luau

I don't remember specifics but I thought I should clarify that I do remember seeing some comedy clubs and other places to hear live music advertised in Kauai travel guides.

These weren't located on our property. If you want to venture away from your hotel, check with local listings for more details. With all the sun and fun we had during the day, we were too tired to leave the Hyatt Regency Hotel Property except for dinner. On the days that we were too tired to leave the property we were thrilled to have such nice choices for dinner right here.
