In general, restaurants in Kapalua are very expensive but we managed to find a couple of places that were reasonable.
Honolua Store - Made to order breakfasts and lunch. Generous portions and excellent prices. Breakfasts started at $2.95, lunches around $5.95. Can eat on the porch with a view of the golf course.
Breakfast items - the normal-eggs, bacon,sausage, some served with rice. Good biscuits and gravy.
Lunch - Deli sandwiches, salads
Maui Tacos - located in the Napili Shopping Center. Decent, good portions Mexican food, fish tacos, nothing over $6.95. A good value for the area and a chain in Maui.
The Banyon Tree - located on the Ritz property. Expensive but worth splurging for 1 night. The ambience makes this place. Beautiful setting & views, soothing live island music. Dishes inspired by Hawaiian, Japanese, Chinese and SE Asian cuisine. Over $100 for 2 people including drinks, entrees and appetizers.
Jameson's Grill & Bar - Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. More casual atmosphere. I had some sort of Japanese noodle dish with shrimp. Did not care for the soy/cream sauce, a bit overwhelming after a few bites. Expensive and not that good.
The Gardenia Court - At the Kapalua Bay Hotel. They have a great seafood buffet on Friday nights. Includes sushi, oysters on the half shell, steamed clams, calamari, baked fish, shrimp, and lots more. Excellent dessert table. $35.00 per person. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Fish and Poi restaurant is located next to the lobby of the Napili Shores Condos. The restaurant appears to be on the edge of casual fine dining, I guess one could say. I wore a nice summer dress and my husband wore shorts and a tshirt. The restaurant is for the guests of the condos but is open to anyone who wants to come in and eat. When we were there it was not busy, only one other couple in the entire restaurant and they were down dressed also (shorts, tshirts, flip flops?) Food is pretty good, a little on the expensive side for some items, however there are some things on the menu that range from $13-15 which is not too bad for Maui. They have a little bar inside the restaurant also.
