Kahili is up on the west maui mountain slopes overlooking the isthmus of Maui. Great views for the course. Course was long enough, challenging enough without making for too hard of a day. Fees were reasonable at $125 per person with cart. Nice little snack shop with warm hot dogs at the turn. Great restaurant in the clubhouse at the end.
Good tip: rent golf clubs in town. There is a Roger Dunn Golf shop in Kihei (up by big supermarket on Piikea avenue 808-891-0886). Clubs are $20, as opposed to $50 or $60 at the course. Not too big of an inconvenience to pick up, have all day to return. Definitely better than schlepping on an airplane.
