The best prime rib served anywhere and you won't find the cut any thicker. Plan to be there during sunset and request upstairs table. The view is not to be missed. Save room for the Hula pie. When we visit Maui we usually go for 10 days and we eat at Kimo's at least twice during that time and once we hit it three times in 10 days.
Favorite Dish: Prime Rib - huge cut and well flavored
Owned by the same people as Duke's Malibu and Huntington Beach, Kimo's lived up to it's California counterparts. The seafood specials were delicious, the view was gorgeous, and the servers were extremely helpful and attentive.
Favorite Dish: Bread (carrot muffins and sourdough rolls) were served before the meal. For dinner, I had the Sashimi - a recommendation from our waiter - and it proved to be as appetizing as he described. Around the table there were orders of Mahi, Steak, and Ono, and everyone was pleased with their order.
Overlooking the water in Lahina, Kimo's is an excellent choice for lunch or dinner. The decor is beachy and laid back, with a just a hint of upscale and fabulous ocean views. Just what you want when dining out in Hawaii. Fresh seafood (with plenty of non-seafood options as well: chicken, veggies, etc.), pretty big portions, and reasonablly priced (with one entree and a few cocktails each, our bill came out to only $45 per person). Kimo's is very popular, so reservations are recommended. They are also very accomodating for larger parties.
Note: If you're a fan of Duke's in Malibu, Kauai, or Waikki, Kimo's is of the same owners.
