Lahaina, located on the North West side of Maui, has a main drag lined with many restaurants and bars that feature live music. For those of you looking for nightlife on Maui, this town is your best bet. Just get to Front Street and follow your ears.
This being my second trip to Maui, I feel that I can confirm that there is no fun, wild, or booming nightlife in Maui after 9 p.m. It really is of little importance though because there is so much activity to partake in during the day, that you'll probably be too tired to party at night anyway. However, if it's a fun nightlife scene you're looking for, you're better of going to Waikiki.
To experience true Hawaiian culture from the past, you need to go to the Old Lahaina Luau and watch the show. Great food buffet, plenty of drinks (already included in price), and an hour long show. Great sunsets across the ocean from your table!!

Lots of cultural food and drinks as well as cultural dances and activities make this a great family event.
