Plantation House: Panoramic Views
The Plantation House is located on a golf course with amazing, outrageous views of the north shore overlooking Kapalua. They specialize in the fish or catch of the day and offer many variations of preparation. I highly recommend you choose this if you plan to eat here. There are other entrees to choose from but you're in Maui, you should try the fish. Absolutely, fresh! I had the fish preparation of a Taste of Venice. It was delish! My boyfriend had the fish preparation of a Taste of Maui. We came back to the Plantation House for lunch a few days later. I wasn't too hungry and ordered the fried goat cheese salad and a Lava Flow cocktail. What a relaxing place to dine at!

PlantationHouse Restaurant at Kapalua: Plantation House Restaurant
This unique restaurant sits atop of the hill at the Plantation Estates at the Plantation Clubhouse with a 360 degree view of the Mercedes PGA Championship golfcourse and breathtaking view of the ocean. The atmosphere is breezy with large open windows setting the perfect blend of plantation style, hawaiian atmosphere, and island hospitality. Cuisine is Hawaiian/Mediterranean.

The Plantation House: The Best View on the Island
The Restaurant has by far the most beautiful view on the island of Maui. It is located on the top of the Plantation Golf course in Kapalua. You over- look the Golf Course and Bay with a wonderful view of Molokai. You may go for the view but will enjoy the food. We had two outstanding dinners. My favorite fish dish was prepared the Mediterranean style with Maui onions and vegetable saute. This restaurant was voted by Maui News " Best Ambience" so don't miss it, Plus they serve breakfast and lunch too.
The Plantation House: Long distance restaurants
Places to eat.
This is one of our problems. We like staying in Wailea, but our favorite place to eat is in Kapalua. These two places are about as far apart on Maui that you can get. Kapalua is on the far western side of Maui. Wailea is on the far eastern side of Maui. Needless to say we spend a lot on gasoline.
The Plantation House. (Kapalua) is the best restaurant on Maui (IMHO). It is an open air restaurant overlooking a golf course overlooking Kapalua and the Pacific ocean. It is probably 500 yards from the ocean, straight up hill. The food is American (steaks, etc.) and the prices are quite reasonable. We normally have lunch there (Jackie loves their crab cakes) with Mai Tai’s and get out for about $25 with tip. A first rate dinner would cost about $40 per person. (http://www.theplantationhouse.com/) The Plantation House has a sister restaurant, the Seawatch, in Wailea but unfortunately they don’t have the crab cakes Jackie so enjoys. It is also a beautiful setting (not quite so far up the mountain) with indoor and outdoor seating. Both are wonderful choices.
Longi’s (Lahaina). A terrific little restaurant on the main street of Lahaina. Longi’s is an Italian restaurant with wonderful breakfast’s. Again it is an open air restaurant. The waitpeople are the menus. They will tell you what is available.
Favorite Dish: My wife adores the crab cakes with a side salad.
