    Iao Valley

    Haleakala National Park

    Iao Valley

    I think we were here on a very cloudy day, although the locals told us that they Iao Needle is shrouded in clouds often. Neat place to visit.

    Get your photo taken under the great Banyan tree in Lahaina. This tree is incredible. On the weekends there is an outdoor market under its long limbs.

    Maui Tropical Plantation

    Yes, I know this is the most visited tourist attraction on Maui, but it's worth it. Even if you do not take the tour, the gift shop is well stocked and the grounds are gorgeous.

    Surfing Hawaii... sounds redundant to me. After a llifetime around boards I finally made it out to Hawaii but not to the famous North Shore or Jaws.

    Dolphins in Lanai

    the spinner dolphins love the wake of the boat.
    We tourists love that, and the ferry captain circled the spinners so we could all see.
    i could not get an action shot, but it's a nice memory

    A glassed-in shelter provides relief from the bitterly cold winds.
