Dee's Iced CoCo Coffee by deecat Allan and I walked from large hotel to large hotel to listen to live music, try the exotic drinks, and people watch. It's great fun and along the way, you meet new people, discover unusual drink combinations, and hear fantastic entertainment. My favorite drink turned out to be an iced drink called "CoCo Coffee" which was a speciality at one of the beachfront hotels at Waikiki Beach.
At night, it's a little dressier than bathing suits and cover-ups (as you would wear in the daytime). Women should wear Capri Pants, or slacks, or summer sundress; men should wear slacks and a casual shirt. You may wear shorts, but they should not be cut-offs or short shorts. Stroll along the beach by joiwatani The Hawaiians are so happy when they established a Police Precint at Waikiki Beach! Do you know what that means to them? Safer for the local residents and the tourists to stroll and walk along the beach at night! (And, at day time, of course!). Just strolling along the beach and listening to one's self and the ocean waves is fun. Not that we are crazy, but sometimes, we know that we needed to listen to our inner selves! It's amazing how this thing will do to us! It re-energizes, refreshes us and get rid of the poisons inside us!
Just a hang-loose shirt and shorts. Wear slippers. Theme: OtherAddress: Waikiki BeachDirections: Go south the Waikiki beach or go north the Waikiki Beach. It doesn't matter. Just walk until you get tired and ready to go back to your hotel and get a good night sleep!

Taiko drummers (or wadaiko drum) by TropicGirl77 Yes, Hawaii has it all! From luaus, to movies and street entertainment, to dinner cruises to night clubs and comic clubs ... it's all here and not only in Waikiki, though MOST of our night activity is found in Honolulu.
Usually casual does the trick, and you can get away with "aloha" clothes just about anywhere! It's always a good idea to wear decent shoes ~ you can always fling 'em off later if you want to have a moonlit walk along the beach! Leave a Comment Theme: Other

The street life in Honolulu is very exciting nowadays unlike in the old days. It's now fun to go out at night just basically walking! There is so much to see! There are Jamaican drummers doing their beats, people dancing, children singing karaoke, people painting, a guy making balloons to sell and make different shapes of the balloons, statue people, etc. Plus, there is so much stores to window-shop! The walk is more fun this time and I didn't realize I walk the whole of Kalakua Avenue with my daughter. Good exercise after a big Hawaiian dinner!
Walking shorts, slippers, t-shirts. Theme: OtherAddress: Kalakua Avenue

Just walking and sitting on a park close to the Aloha Tower is just relaxing and fun. The sun set is beautiful. While waiting for a cruise ship to watch the 4th of July fireworks, we just walk around the block chatting. We went to the dock and watch the fishes.

Moon Walk at full moon Friday by TropicGirl77 This is a nature walk offered each Friday night closest to the full moon. The park will have guides to take you around the "path" and describe different plants and origins etc (they will also classify different "smells" for you). Your ultimate goal is to get to the falls and see it in the moonlight. Wonderful for a family activity, or even a romantic way to spend time with your "special" someone.
Bring a flashlight, and bug repellent. Be sure to check the weather ahead of time and be prepared for rain. Mosquitoes usually are present too. My recommendation is comfortable jeans, good walking shoes, t-shirt with long sleeves that can be pushed up if it gets hot/humid or left alone to keep the bugs off. Prices are $7 for a family, $5 for a couple, and $3 single ticket. Dancers at the Polynesian Cultural Center Luau by diver-x OK, yeah, they're tacky, but they're fun anyway. Dinner and a show and the price is usually pretty reasonable.
It depends on the luau, but most are casual. Leave a Comment Theme: Live MusicDirections: Check with your hotel and check around the town you are staying. I guarantee, there will be somebody selling luau tickets!
