Favorite thing: Hanauma Bay has the best snorkeling I've ever seen. Lots of fish in shallow water for beginners. Good reef in deeper water for folks with more experience. Amazing fish. Great water clarity.
Tip: Get there early! You HAVE TO sit through a 10 minute safety / enviromental movie before they let you go to the beach. Later in the day, lines get long, and you might need to wait up to 2 hours to get to the beach from the time you get there. If you're planning on coming back, give them your name when you leave, and you can bypass this step when you come back.
A cab ride is about $35 from Wakiki Beach. This is the best way to get there if you have more than 2 people and you have your own gear. If you don't have your own gear, go on one of the many organized snorkel shuttles.
Fondest memory: I tried out my underwater camera case for the first time on this trip. Here is a sample picture.

Favorite thing: Hanama Bay is a place to go to snorkel or Scuba Dive or to just sit on a beach. After taking a snorkeling trip there I decided to learn to Scuba Dive. I learned to dive on my second trip to Hawaii on a 3 day private class at South Seas Aquatics.
Fondest memory: My favorite part of Honolulu is the sunsets. It is like the forth of July at night. Everyone lines up on the beach to watch the sun sink into the Ocean. I always wait to hear the sound of the Sun sizzling as it disapears into the Ocean.
Fondest memory: A sea cove in Koko Head Park, its rugged grandeur was created by volcanic action 10,000 years ago when Pele made her last attempt to find home on Oahu, as legend tells. A favorite spot for swimming, picnicking, and snorkeling.

Favorite thing: Hanuma Bay
This is a beautiful bay at the base of a cliff a few miles from Honolulu, it has live coral and lots of colourful fish in the shallow water of the bay, it ideal for snorkelling.
Fondest memory: My best memory is of the drives we did around the island of Oahu, particularly on the east side of the island. Honolulu itself is a nice city and my favorite memory of it is probably the markets, there was one in the town and another one is held at the sports arena a couple of times a week, this one had more bargains but the other was much prettier.
