Haiku Gardens, a touch of paradise, in paradise

    Haiku Gardens

Kaneohe, just 20 minutes over the Pali Pass from Honolulu on the windward side of the island, there sits a romantic garden/pond called,"Haiku Gardens". You can tour the grounds in about an hour's time, seeing all the different types of flora that is native to Hawaii. The setting is so romantic, my own daughter was married in the gardens.

Located at the top of the gardens( the gardens are down a slight slope from the parking lot, but easy to walk) is the Haleiwa Joe's Seafood Grill with a view of the gardens, so make it a late afternoon visit to the gardens and then enjoy the great food dishes and cocktails, if you care, at the restaurant, just before sunset, so that you can enjoy the view. Not too touristy either. Look for signs in Kaneohe to drive to Haiku Gardens. Worth the drive and the time. Who knows, maybe someone you know will get married at the gardens and honeymoon in Waikiki. Aloha

    Plant life in Hawaii

Visit these beautiful tropical gardens if you want to see and learn all you can about the tropical flowers and plants that thrive here on the Hawaiian Islands as well as many from around the world! (Be sure to bring your bug repellent) I love these gardens, and if you have interest in plant life, you won't be disappointed with the visit.
