Iconic Teppanyaki Wagon
4 more images

the teppanyaki wagon is an icon in the Iolanic Palace Area, it isn usually parked in Millilani Street, near the Iolani Palace Area and depending on the day and the time of day (breakfast lunch or dinner) it moves to other areas like university avenue or ward street. The dishes are limited to Juicy Steak ($ 7), Garlic Teri Chicken ($6 ), Hamburger Steak ($ 7), Garlic Shrimp ($ 9), Steak and Shrimp ($ 10) and Eggplant with steak or chicken ($ 8/7) and drinks at $ 1 to 2 depending it it's water or soda or arizona iced tea or coffee. There is usually one chef in the wagon, cooking all the orders by himself, but the wait is worth both the price and the food is really good!

Favorite Dish: I ordered the Garlic Chicken Teriyaki and Arizona Iced Tead all for only $ 8 with no tax, the wait was 10 minutes since the food is just cooked after you order but it was sooo delicous and sumptous and you can order sides like Portobello Mushrooms at $ 4 or Bean and Sprout at $ 2 or 5 pcs Shrimp at $ 5 if you are really that hungry and mind you, even if you have no side orders, they offer a really huge serving of the wonderful food here!

The secret to their success is their very delicious and tasty broth.Their servings are very large and their prices is very low.A small bowl of noodles cost $3.85 and it can feed 2 people.

Favorite Dish: To Chau serves the best Vietnamese Pho noodles. Located in Chinatown (River/King street).
They also serve excellent French coffee served
hot with sweet condensed milk;then poured into
a cup of ice.It is soooo good!
This place is not hard to find in Chinatown, because there is always a long line of people waiting to get in.

It had to be a restaurant inside the hotel next to us. Can't for the life of me remember the name. Ate there quite often, as the food was great. I loved the 'purple' bread, made from poi, the iced tea with pineapple.

The breakfast buffet at the Rainbow Lanai at the Hilton Hawaiian Village is wonderful. Also Bali By the Sea and The Golden Dragon at the HHV for dinner.
You get ocean views at the Golden Dragon and Bali By The Sea. My husband and me at the Bali By The Sea restaurant.

Favorite Dish: Beggars chicken at the Golden Dragon. This must be ordered 24 hours in advance of your dinner, but it is well worth it. It is cooked for 24 hours in a clay pot.
