My Favorite Fctory outlet ever is located near Honolulu at Waipahu, save at 50 outlets including Banana Republic, Barneys New York, Brooks Brothers, Michael Kors, Coach, Polo Ralph Lauren, Armani Exchange LeSportsac, Max Mara, Tommy Hilfiger, and more. The 64-acre complex has made discount shopping a major activity and a travel pursuit in itself, with shopping tours for visitor groups and carloads of neighbor islanders and Oahu residents making pilgrimages from all corners of the state. They come to hunt down bargains on everything from perfumes, luggage, and hardware to sporting goods, fashions, vitamins, and china.
The "mega center" located in west Oahu, offers a variety of value retail stores and factory outlets. Values can be found at Oshkosh for Kids, Max Studio, Van Heusen, Nine West, Guess, Bass, Van Heusen, Old Nave, Nautica and many more bargain opportunities at the various outlets. Shoppers can ride a trolley car between the center’s two shopping complexes. Examples of Cheap Finds: Adidas, A/X Armani Exchange, Tumi, Calvin Klein, MaxMara and Coach, and dozens of other name brands at a fraction of retail.
What to buy:
Just say the word "Waikele" my friend adrian would say So many shops, so little time! There are two sections to this sprawling discount shopping mecca: the Waikele Premium Outlets, some 51 retailers offering designer and name-brand merchandise; and the Waikele Value Center across the street, with another 25 stores more practical than fashion-oriented (Eagle Hardware, Sports Authority, Borders).
50 Plus Shoppers Perks-If you are at least 50 years of age you can take advantage of an added 10% savings on Tuesdays by simply presenting a photo identification with your proof of age to the cashier at participating stores.
My personal Favorite is Buying Shoes at Bass at Buy One Take One, Shirts at Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Laurean plus Perfumes.
Opens:Mon-Sat 9am-9pm, Sun 10am-6pm
What to pay:
It pays to have a Kamaina (or a Hawaiian Local like my Friend) with you when you buy and since many hawaiians are of filipino ancestry (speak to them in Tagalog), I got lots of discounts!!! But other than that it is really cheaper to buy here in waikele since Hawaiian Sales tax is only 4% unlike 8.5 % in California and 9.5% in Washington State or 9.0% in New York!
