    This shows the enormous roots of a Banyan tree.. I saw this one in the Palace grounds, but there were many others around Honolulu.

    Lolani Palace is a most beautiful building. Like many Hawaiian buildings, it stands proud, and seems to tell a story all it's own. If only those walls could speak..

    Iolani Barracks

    Built in 1870, and located next to the palace is the Iolani Barracks. This buildng was once used to house the royal house guards.

    Kinda looks like an old Spanish fort.

    Here's the only palace on Hawaii. It was built for King Kamehameha I. The royal housing is under the Marin building built next to Nimitz Highway at Queen and Bethel streets.
