Cruises, Ships & Boats, Honolulu
Because I really am a history buff, I had to take in the opportunity to visit the Pearl Harbor area. We booked ourselves onto a cruise that takes you out off Waikiki Beach (great view of Diamond Head) and does the tour of the national shrine in Pearl Harbor where the battleship Arizona rests on the bottom. The boat tour was a great way to get a different perspective on the city - do it if you get the chance!
Alright, so this isn't the usual mode of transportation, but it IS a fun way to spend time at the beach. We rented these kayaks for the day from one of the nearby bases and launched them from the northshore (Haleiwa area). This is a very fun and very cool thing to do away from the rat race of Waikiki. If you're planning a memorable reunion, this would be a great activity for the youth and adults.
Now, if you just can't seem to escape Waikiki, there are places to rent kayaks and have a go in a slightly busier beach. At any rate, have FUN!
