A great place to go, plan on spending two days there. You simply can't see everything and participate in all the activites in one day. You will get two days admission with your regular ticket. The evening show is the best on the island by far. The Luau is all you can eat, no alcohol, and very good. A great intro to the Polynesian islands!more
The ticket prices are a little high for what you get, but with a military discount you get a good rate. We go here a lot, it's a very beautiful drive from our home. Ko Olina is one of the most beautiful spots in Hawaii. There are five lagoons here with limited parking at each one which makes these beaches delightfully uncrowded. The Memorial over sunken USS Arizona is a must visit. Before you take a boat ride to the memorial you are given a chance to see the museum and then view a short movie about the war. When at the memorial you can see the top of the sunken battleship as well as the striking wall of names.more
Zippy's is like an everything fast food kind of place . They have burgers, french fries, chili , chowder, haupia, lau lau pork, kalua pig, poi, won tons, Portuguese Sausage, pork hashCrispy Gau Gee, fried noodles, etc . they also have tons of pastry items, and i mean , you can get anything here . and its a nice place , kinda slow for fast food , because the stuff is actually cooked . its not too expensive either . and you get get a taste of the island with out traveling too far . they are everywhere , just like mcdonalds !

Favorite Dish: i got a burger and fries, i didnt venture too far out haha . my mom got fried noodle soup and won tons . she enjoyed it , but it wasnt the kind of taste she was used to so , had some of my burger !
This command center was used for the launching of cruise missiles against Iraq during the first gulf war in 1991.The ship was decommissioned following this conflict. First of all, this ship is just flat out Huge.... Almost 900 feet long and it weighs 58,000 tons, and the 16 inch guns are unbelieveable in scale. (65 feet long...)Although the Missouri only fought in two conflicts during the war, it was selected to be the ship where the Japanese surrender fomally ended the War in the Pacific in World War Two....more
