Great atmoshpere, friendly service
Anything on the menu is fantastic. Try anything with black beans, you'll be surprised how amazingly delicious they can be. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: Lahina, Maui

The Willows Resturant. by Sweetberry1 Hawaii is full of wonderful resturants. There is nothing missing here, any kind of meal you could possibly wish for, you will find. Instead of naming them all here, I will put them in the town/city where they belong. Where else on earth would you find this traditional way of Roasting Pork? There is nothing that compares, and the atmosphere, is just beyond words. The true Spirit of Hawaii, is something you have to experience, and feel in your heart and soul.
One of my favorites was the Pork at the Luaus. It was delicious, and just melted in your mouth. OK.. I do have to mention a couple of GREAT ones.. Imu pua'a by seagoingJLW Hawaiian food is the original fusion cuisine. Something from everywhere is represented. Here is a photo showing how the pig is cooked in a pit on the ground. It is called imu pua'a
Try these: Poi - a paste made from taro root. Eat it with 2 or 3 fingers. Imu Pua'a - Pig cooked in a pit in the ground. Mahimahi - fish, crusted with macadamia and sesame and served with a creamed spinach sauce. Also served as a curry. Onaga - served ginger crusted with corn, mushrooms and miso-sesame vinaigrette. Manapua - steamed bun filled with Chinese BBQ pork Saimin - Japanese noodle soup. Malassadas - Portuguese sugared doughnuts. Pipikaula - Hawaian style jerked beef. Poke - Sliced raw fish or seafood mixed with seaweed, salt, chili peppers, and 'inamona (roasted salted and ground kukui nuts.) Lomilomi salmon - salmon served cold with tomatoes, onions, and green onions. Leave a Comment Theme: Local

This truly is one of the greatest restaurants I've ever been to: It sits right on the ocean and offers the best seafood I've ever had... They offer a lot of unique dishes that you've probably never heard of... The atmosphere makes the experience very special... It's casual, but very nice at the same time.. Hawaiian style I guess..
Everything... Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: It is located just north of Paia...(on Maui)

by jzeidman Kimo's Restaurant was good, nice view. Cheeseburger in Paradise is a popular one as well, with a great view. Great view.

by sargentjeff Lox of Bagels is my favorite Bagel shop on the island of Oahu. The owners and workers are very friendly.
The bagels are outstanding. Even the cinnamon sugar bagels are outstanding, but mostly I'd go with my favorites, Poppy seed, Sesame seed, and Onion. The also make their own cream cheese in several flavors, including low fat cream cheese. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: on the pictureOther Contact: on the picture

Our dinner table's view on Moloka‘i by BlueCollar These are our favorites for their dining area's view of the sunset. The food is good, too. We encountered the best dinner-time view of the sunset on Maui at Kimo's in Lahaina. Our table by the railing on their open-deck dining area provided an unobstructed view of the harbor with a great view of the sun settling into the ocean between Lana‘i and Moloka‘i. Unfortunately, we didn't take a picture. On Moloka‘i, we really enjoyed the view (picture at left) from Hotel Moloka‘i's Oceanfront Restaurant. The sunset views, cool ocean breezes, and the sound of gentle waves lapping the shoreline made the dining experience extremely memorable. Just as an FYI: If you love sushi, you'll love the Islands. From the fancy Japanese restaurants in Waikiki to the deli counter in just about every grocery store on every island, sushi is everywhere. Even at 7-11. Lulu's in Kona serves a great seared tuna appetizer. And for great sushi take-out in large portions at a very reasonable cost, you have to go to Hayashi's Sushi Take Out in the Kona Marketplace Shopping Center in — you guessed it — Kona. It's on Ali‘i Drive between Likana and Sarona Lanes. Everytime I went there he was busy with a line out the door — mostly locals. Sushi lovers will be in heaven here. I know I was. :) Return to my main Hawai`i page. Leave a Comment

by politigal Longhi's in down town Lahaina. Yes, touristy, but the open air second story is so nice in the evening for a late dinner of fresh fish and then stay right where you are for drinks and to listen to the live music. live music, great food, spoken menu (that means the servers recite the menu to you and it also implies it changes often, always a good thing!). Moderately priced, don't go with less than $20perperson for dinner and drinks.
I recommend anything plucked from the nearby sea. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: 888 Front Street Lahaina, Maui

by slabeaume Although we didn't actually get anything here, Beezers looked really neat and I've been told you can get great ice cream here. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: Beezers is located under Dakine's Dogs.

by slabeaume For a quick really good and not expensive meal, try Dakine's Dogs in Kapaa. It's a small place with very friendly owners (I assume they were the owners). Notice the counter top and menu boards---boogie and surf boards. Update--April 5, 2003----sadly, they are no longer in business!
They had all kinds of hotdogs and other hot sandwiches. I got the italian beef and it was delicious. Leave a Comment Theme: Other
