  • This park in the North End of Boise consists of many biking trails and hiking areas, in the winter if we have snow, you can go sledding here.

The park is at the end of 13th heading north.

    floating the river

  • A big thing to do here in the summertime, is to float the Boise river, they start at Barber park, and float on rafts to Ann Morrison park.
It reminds me of the movie"deliverence" with the inbred kid and the banjo.
Some of the people that float the river would scare that kid away, and if he was there playing his little banjo, he would probably get beer bottles thrown at him, poor little inbred kid...
Boise has now decided to outlaw beer while floating the river, since we have an abundance of drunks in this city, it has not gone too well. If you get caught drinking an alcoholic beverage on the river, a prompt death sentence will occur, or a $300.00 fine.
Next on the city's agenda: No drinking in bars!

  • For some reason, Boise has a knack for big families, especially ones with blonde hair.
Everyone has a mini-van or SUV and has soccer practice every Wednesday.
    It's a very conservative area.

All winter long there are more...

  • All winter long there are more cultural activities than 10 people could attend: Opera, Master Chorale, Philharmonic, Idaho Ballet, Idaho Dance Theatre, four or five theatre companies, Shakespeare (summer), regular rock concerts, stage productions by touring companies, Boise State has regular recitals, concerts, chamber music, and plays. The museum, art museum sponsor live entertainment, as do the bars. Some of it's really lively!
