Located centrally in the heart of downtown, the Beacon has become a favorite gathering spot for the locals. The 1890's era brick building with large windows on the corner of 4th and Sherman provides a classic look and feel for bar patrons. The island style bar seats 35 and has views of many flatscreen TV's. The Beacon has been referred to as the social epicenter of Coeur d'Alene.
The Beacon is definitely one of the more happening spots in CDA after dark. It is a modern style bar with lots of drinks to choose from, as well as many beers on tap. We just went there and enjoyed it immensely.
Dress Code: Casual dress is acceptable, as it is in most places in Coeur d'Alene.

If you like loud, live music, this is a great place for you. It can be especially busy in the summer months as dowtown is a little more lively that time of the year. The food is also really good, and the restaurant has a great breakfast as well. There are also pool tables for those who like to play.
Dress Code: Casual dress is always accepted.

33 taps of good beer, plus a full bar. Great tables, my favorite being the Grateful Dead table, covered in Dead concert ticket stubs. Also live blues music a couple nights a week. Seems to be full of yuppies most of the time.
Dress Code: None.
