Drive past the CDA 15th St I-90 freeway ramp and follow the signs that say Fernan. Once past the private properties on the dirt road you can camp, build fires, shot firearms, or do whatever to your hearts content.

Take goverment way to hunneysuckle ave. and you at Hunnysuckel beach. This is where eveyone goes to swim on hayden lake. Also it is not nearly as crowded as the beach dowtown.
Also if you go on Tubs hill you must MAKE SURE you have a swimsuit becasue every one just off the rock, to cool off after a long walk.
