Triple Play and Holiday Inn Express by Xspecht This is an ever-expanding family fun center in Hayde, just north of CDA on Highway 95. Triple Play offers Miniature Golf (Indoor or Outdoor), Bowling, Bumper Boats, Go Karts, Laser Tag, Video Games, a Soft Play playground for the kids, a Climbing Wall, and a snack bar. This is all in addition to the recent addition of Raptor Reef indoor water park. There is also an adjacent Holiday Inn Express for a convenient place to stay, and this is only about 15 minutes from Silverwood Theme Park in Athol. The water park even has a roof that can be opened up on nice summer days. The indoor/outdoor jacuzzi is also a must, especially during the winter! We always make a point of stopping here whatever time of year that we visit. Address: 175 W. Orchard, Hayden, ID 83835Phone: 877-770-7529Directions: It is at the corner of Highway 95 and Orchard Avenue, directly south of the Super 1 Foods and Hayden Center, in Hayden, ID. Silverwood is just 20 minutes north of Coeur d'Alene on Highway 95. It is a great place to visit when it is open during the summer. The price of admission includes the theme park, as well as Boulder Beach Water Park. We went this past summer and had a great time riding the coasters in the morning and spending the afternoon at the water park. Then we went back and rode some more rides in the evening. It is a great place for Family Fun! Address: 15 miles north of C d'A on US Hwy 95Phone: 208-683-3400Directions: Exit I-90 at U.S. Highway 95 and go north for about 15 miles. Parking for the park is on your right and the park is on the left side of the highway accessible via an underground tunnel that goes under the highway.Website: http://www.silverwoodthemepark.com/index.html

A popular place for an afternoon hike, the hill is scattered with many trails that can lead you to panoramic lake and mountian views. It is also widly used for private swimming holes and "cliff jumping." It is a beautiful place to take your lunch and enjoy some quite in the middle of town. Directions: Located in downtown, next to the Coeur d' Alene Resort. Accessible through the resort's parking lot near the boat launch.

If yours looking to let loose and have some fun then try Tubbs in the summer. The hill off the side of the resort in downtown CdA is the place to be for everyone on a hot day. The rock cliffs hosted by this hill are incrdible. Jumping off these rocks will be an expeirence to remember. Not to mention the trails and caves you will find here. Leave a Comment Directions: Downtown by the CdA resort.

It is unappreciated until you actually walk it. The hill can be seen from downtown, but doesn't show it's true self until you are actually there. You can either walk around it in a loop, or over the top. I recommend both, in order to take in the entire hill. Leave a Comment Directions: Behind the Coeur d'Alene Resort. Trail entrance is at the end of the public parking/boat launch area.

by Easty Fireworks on Coeur D'Alene Lake The fireworks on the 4th of July are spectacular over the lake. We were lucky enough to get a room on the lakeside that night. Leave a Comment

The highway from Spokane to Coeur D'Alene is pretty busy and demands full attention. there was much construction and where there wasn't, the road was not in great shape. We pulled into CDA pretty early and needed coffee, a rest, and something to eat. We found everything close to the lake. The lake is HUGE! There is a very nice park beside it. The parking lot is free and offers plentiful parking. The town itself was just about as nice as anyone could ask. The museum by the lake near the airplane parking was wonderful and the person working there was very knowledgeble. If I didn't love Oregon so much, I think I would like to live in Coeur d'Alene.
