The Family Packages to the Theme Park

by joiwatani Written Nov 6, 2011

Favorite thing: When booking your tickets to the Theme Park, make sure to book as a group instead of individuals. The Silverwood Theme Park usually give discounts.

The individual fee getting in to the park is $40.00.

When we went to the Silverwood Theme Park, I booked as a Birthday Party Package and it comes with free lunches at the restaurant in the Theme Park. They also gave us plastic glasses where we can have refills of soda anywhere we were at the park.

Booking ahead of time is nicer because there is no waiting time involved. During the summer time, there is a long line of people getting to the Silverwood Theme Park.

    Those Theme Park Bands

by joiwatani Written Nov 6, 2011

Favorite thing: Once you get in at the Silverwood Theme Park, the staff at the entry gate gives every child a band on the arm. These bands are only given to families who bought the birthday packages. Tell your children not to lose them (even the adults) because these are the tickets to get free drinks in the restaurant or any place in the park.

The drinks in the park are very expensive. It cost $2.00 pe drink.

Make sure to get a map

by joiwatani Written Nov 6, 2011

Favorite thing: We made sure that we had a map of the Theme Park. I gave each to my children and we divided ourselves into two groups. The teenagers were in one group and the adults with young ones in another group. This way, the children will not miss their rides because of our limited time at the park.

The children love the thrill ride and with the map, they can figure out where they want to ride first without missing any rides before we hit back home.

Fondest memory: My children love theme parks and they were so happy when I brought them here with their cousins.

They all had so much fun and good memories with our trip to Silverwood Theme Park on my birhtday.

    Idaho Potatoes

by Astrobuck Updated Jul 7, 2007

Favorite thing: Potatoes. Some find them bland....others find them very tasty. From french fries to baked potatoes, you can't go wrong with an Idaho potato! Idaho, when most people hear the name, the first thing that usually comes to mind is a big fat juicy potato. The potato is not actually a vegetable, but a root! If you plant a potato, more potatoes will grow from it! You can peel them, chop them, bake them, or mash them. The possibilities are endless.

    Idaho Falls

by Astrobuck Updated Jan 9, 2005

Fondest memory: Wierd place....the nightime there is kind of creepy, with a deserted downtown.

There was this annoying kid in Domino's where we were trying to get directions back to the major highway. He kept screaming at his manager and co-workers because he didn't know where a street was.

The Mormon temple was very pretty though, with the floodlights on it. To me, it was the only decent thing to see there.

    Outdoor lover's dream destination!

    by jgemini65 Written Sep 3, 2004

Favorite thing: Fishing is a huge pastime and tourist draw in Idaho! In the last year and a half I have learned more about fish and fishing then I ever thought possible...I guess living in Idaho with a man who loves to fish it is inevitable! Regardless, when you are out on a beautiful lake, on a beautiful day, fishing or not it can't get much better!

Fondest memory: This was a day in August out on Payette lake! My daughter caught some poor little fish that we re-leased! Steve is trying to untangle the unfortunate victim!

Fondest memory: The best part about North Idaho is, of course, the mountains. North Idaho is one of the most beautiful places in the world. It has several lakes and rivers, ski resorts, etc. You will be blessed to visit this area.

  • Idaho has year round...

by jgnichols Written Aug 24, 2002

Favorite thing: Idaho has year round entertainment possibilities:

In the summer, I enjoy water skiing, fishing, hiking, camping, mountain biking, and white water rafting. Best of all, each activity can be done within 2 hours of my home (many within 15 minutes).

In the fall, Steelhead begin running on the salmon River, evenings are still warm enough for water skiing, and mountain biking is beautiful.

In the winter, Snowskiing at Brundage Mountain near McCall is excellent while Bogus Basin outside of boise is very good. Snowmobilling, snow shoeing, and cross country skiing in the back country are also fun.

In the spring, you can waterski in the morning, golf at noon, and snow ski in the evening. (Bogus Basin is one of the larges night skiing resorts in the US and normally operates from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM).

Fondest memory: While whitwater rafting on the Snake River, we started to fish for sturgeon. After a five hour struggle, we landed a fish slightly larger than 8 feet. 'Wolfie', the river guide, removed the hook and let the fish loose. However, he held the pectoral fins just long enough to end up up stream about 50 yards on the opposite side of the river.

Favorite thing: Hell's Canyon in western Idaho is the deepest river gorge in North America. The canyon walls plunge 7900 feet down to the Snake River.
