Don't miss the local shopping..there are several great little places featuring Idaho Artisans. A wonderful yarn and needlework shop features locally made one-of-a-kind clothing! A terrific gift shop with a charming jewelry shop right next door. This shopping mecca is located on E.Lake Street in McCall right next door to one of the oldest markets in the area, 'Pauls Market' where you can find pretty much anything you might need for camping, picnicing, or just trying their terrific deli and bakery. They even have a drygoods section with great clothing at reasonable prices.

    Sheep Migration

This happens every year..Moving the sheep for the summer season means that drivers must find other routes of travel..this ritual is carried out in the early summer and then in the fall again, and its really fun to see..If you live in Idaho and in the mountains your life gets slightly disrupted by these fellows on the move..

    Old Out Building

There are so many great old out buildings allover the Pacific Northwest and McCall, Idaho is no exception! There are just so many side roads one caan take in this area of the country...and never know what you may find! This out building is part of a larger piece of property where we attended an auction a few weeks ago...where I scored an old collection of travel slides and projectors! *Note the great old wood wind charger on the roof!

    Brundage Ski Resort.

by crazyk Written Aug 3, 2003

Definately a plus to check out if you are a skiier, this resort is known for the powder and isn't that crowded.
They just opened up a new quad lift, the only drawback is that is isn't a resort for extreme skiiers, but who needs them anyway? This place blows Sun Valley away.

Burgdorf Hot Springs, is located about 30 miles and is a easy drive in the summer. This is a old minning town with a log linned pool. This is a commerical hot springs, but very fun and full of history.

Secesh River, where wild salmon spawn

Make time to visit Idaho's historic backcountry. Visit Burgdorf Hotsprings, Secesh and Warren (mining town established in 1862). Snowmobile access during the winter months.
