There is nothing like the "Great Outdoors" of Idaho! True...there have been more bugs than I ever imagined existed on the planet popping up under every leaf...still the good seems to out weigh the bad! There is just one beautiful lake, river, or stream after the next. If you are into camping, hiking, fishing, boating, skiing, or any of the like...than this is the place for you!! The lake pictured is near "jughandle" mountain in McCall, Idaho. About a 30 minute/max trip off State Highway 55.
For one year my daughter and I lived in my 30ft Airstream Safari travel trailer...it was a true adventure! We had it parked at the North Fork Lodge a truly exceptional place to park your trailer and use as a base to explore the West Central Mountains of Idaho! The only downside...well...I still live in this town so I will keep my opinions to my self! Write if you would like to know more!
In the McCall area there are SO many things to see and do that it is impossible to list them all!
There is Skiing, Boarding, Golfing, Fishing, Camping, Incredible back country drives, Dining and drinking, just to name a few! Just take your pick of the activities you like and you will probably be able to do them in McCall!!!
Winter at Brundage Mountain Resort is spectacular. The breathtaking view from the top of Brundage includes the nearby Salmon River Mountains, beautiful Payette Lakes, Oregon's Eagle Cap Wilderness, and the famed Seven Devils towering over Hells Canyon, the deepest river gorge in America.
Surrounded by mountain peaks, pine trees and fresh air it's the perfect place to bring the family or plan a special trip.
