Meridian Local Customs

After most people move here, they try to move away and sometimes it takes a while.
It costs a lot of money to move away and wages are low here, so it can take several months or years to save enough to leave.
So, until the move happens, you can see meridianites going to the pharmacy to get anti-depressants to help live here.

What you will notice about people here is that they have something called "tunnel vision", you will notice this when they are walking around town or driving.
So, when in Meridian, get the tunnel vision and who cares if you get in somone's way, you will fit in as a Meridianite

You have to wash your vehicle almost every day here because of the dust in the air that floats on your car.
When it rains, your car is filthy, so be sure to keep it washed constantly.
This is a great place to do that, enjoy!

The culture in Meridian is to get drunk all the time and smoke tons of cigarettes.
Also, I would have to say that getting married at fourteen and being divorced at nineteen with three kids, is also a recommended tradition here.
So, hang out with the locals and enjoy your stay!

Meridianites get laid off a lot, so a custom would be to go to the unemployment office and file to get checks in the mail.
Of course, that means they are helping the local bar economy.

Suicide is not the answer,but if you try it and fail, just take I-84 to the Eagle RD exit and you have St. Lukes Meridian medical center.
They have great places to eat across the street too!
