Whiskey Jaques is a normal chill bar for a small town. There are 2 sepereate bars inside and the place was packed when I was there. It seemed to be popular with the locals (of course there aren't many options if you're a local). We saw plenty of live music, and I'm assuming it's that way all the time.

Both times I was in Boise, there was not much going on, primarilly on a Monday night. There still was quite a crowd out for the start of the week downtown however on Idaho St, which housed several different bars, lounges and restaurants.
Included in these are the Red Feather, Opa, The Ale House, Dawson's Downtown and others.
Dress Code: Dress warm, its cold out there!
Tunnels somewhere in the mountains outside of Boise.
There is a small complex of tunnels that only a native will ever get you to. Young people go there with friends at night to drink, smoke grass, tell ghost stories, worship the Devil and the like.

The Green-T is a real cowboy bar right down to the mechanical bull, saddle-topped bar stools, and the life size horses standing on the two front bars. All total it contains five working bars, live music, and ample seating for the large crowds that frequent this lively night spot in Pocatello, Idaho. The dance floor is typically small and there is a cover charge at the door (only $5).
The pool tables seemed to always be filled. They offer ladies night with drinks 2 for 1 during Certain hours. Sunday is Mexican Fiesta night offering authentic Mexican cuisine and music. For you ladies who want to dance, you may have to come prepared to do some of the asking. After all, it is the 90's.
I hope this has since changed since I was there but the big nighttime activity seemed to be cruising. Get in the car, drive around and try to look appealing to the other sex. Now, if you're just trying to make friends, this could be fun, but actually trying to meet someone this way just seems a little...desprate.
As we are Christian ministers, we do not promote bars and such, but the best place to go to church is Faith Tabernacle. That's where the action is. The praise and worship team rock out and the preaching is powerful and anointed.
If you want to know Jesus, you'll find Him here.

We were in Boise to cover a mountain bike race/demo that got rained out and we subsequently spent...more
